The Book of Exodus

The tall vertical framing of the great crossing through the Red Sea gives monumental proportion to the daunting event. The dark trench-like abyss of the path holds a fearsome uncertainty as the Israelites gave onward into uncharted waters. The swirling and wild walls of the ocean are held in a parted order, but still churn with the serpentine flow of the roaring currents. A small figure enveloped in brilliant golden light stands before the dark oceanic corridor, ushering the way forward as the conduit for salvation. The gold conical spire visualizes the divine brilliance of God as He makes the ocean part evenly. In the midst of the raw and uncaring torrential strength of nature, God’s face shines as a beacon; bending the natural to His command.
