The Garden of Graceful Light is a surrealist piece that implements symbolism, impressionistic principles, expressionistic experience, and traditional practices. Motion and turbulence is the foundational element of the image where all other features take their support from. The only exception to this viscous spatial dominance is the central figure; a dominant gold leaf overlay draws the figure out from the nebulous darkness. The broken pose offers a mere suggestion at His form. The gold leaf scatters into finer particulates like pollen being carried away by a strong wind. The Him is one of He who is God but His identity within the Trinity is not known for sure. His presence is clear and His grace is released to be taken in by the golden lilies that flicker and glow as they rest atop the black waters. The spirit of grace and the light of salvation is spread over the waters as the garden blooms together in unison under the tending care of its gardener.
